We are seeking a full-time administrative officer, however, we will consider part-time with at least 3 days (or 24 hours) availability per week.

About Us:

Compass Allied Health is a mobile and in-clinic service based in the rural NSW town of Tamworth. Currently, the team consists of physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and speech pathologists. All of whom have a diverse range of skills and interests, particularly in the areas of hand, musculoskeletal, neurological and paediatric therapy.

Compass prides itself on providing high quality, evidence-based practice to manage the varied needs of the community. Caseloads are very diverse, with a mixture of Private, NDIS, Lifetime Care, Workers Comp/CTP and My Aged Care clients.

Considerable thought has been put into establishing systems that streamline the necessary communication and admin compliance that comes with working across these various schemes. Our aim is to have clinician’s time and energy focused on improving their patient’s outcomes and never feeling overwhelmed by paperwork.

We strive for continual improvement, innovation, sustainable practice and clinical excellence. Therefore, we allocate time and resources to professional development, regular team meetings, in-service education, and social events. We are a locally run business that is growing quite rapidly, and are making a meaningful impact by improving the quality of life of our community.

About the role:

As the administrative officer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Communication- Laising with clients, therapists and other admin in a clear, friendly and professional manner.

• Scheduling – Assisting admin team in arranging clients therapeutic schedules.

• Governance - Following workflows so that various schemes (particularly NDIS) administrative governance is being adhered to.

• Resource Creation - Assisting our therapists create resources for clients.

• General Admin - Scanning and electronic storage of documents.

• Group Class Assistance - Setting up equipment for therapists and assisting with classes if required.

• Minor Housekeeping - Cleaning, putting towels away, wiping surfaces etc...

Key Requirements:

Reception and admin experience - allied health or medical preferred

  • A bright and positive outlook
  • Open minded and willingness to learn
  • Solutions based attitude
  • High level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient with technology and software. Ideally: Cliniko, Monday.com, Gmail, Dropbox, Slack, Adobe.
