We are seeking a full-time therapist, however, we will consider part-time with at least 3 days (or 24 hours) availability per week.
If this sounds appealing, then we would like to hear from you.
Compass Allied Health is a mobile and in-clinic service based in the rural NSW town of Tamworth. Currently, the team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists and speech pathologists. All of whom have a diverse range of skills and interests, particularly in the areas of hand, musculoskeletal, neurological and paediatric therapy.
Compass prides itself on providing high quality, evidence-based practice to manage the varied needs of the community. Caseloads are very diverse, with a mixture of Private, NDIS, Lifetime Care, Workers Comp/CTP and My Aged Care clients.
Considerable thought has been put into establishing systems that streamline the necessary communication and admin compliance that comes with working across these various schemes. Our aim is to have clinician’s time and energy focused on improving their patient’s outcomes and never feeling overwhelmed by paperwork.
We strive for continual improvement, innovation, sustainable practice and clinical excellence. Therefore, we allocate time and resources to professional development, regular team meetings, in-service education, and social events. We are a locally run business that is growing rapidly, and making a meaningful impact by improving our community's quality of life.
As an occupational therapist you will focus on promoting our clients health and wellbeing by enabling people, particularly those with a disability to participate in everyday occupations of life, such as self-care, leisure and productive activities in both a clinical and in-home environment. You will be required to work independently and also liaise with a team of Allied Health professionals to manage the needs of a variety of clients.
Being a mobile service, you will be required to travel to client’s homes and local businesses around Tamworth and its surrounds. Due to the extra time that is allocated for travel and admin, you would typically be seeing four to seven patients on a regular work day. You have the freedom to inform admin as to the structure of your schedule and work hours, in alignment with the business’ goals.
The caseload will be a mixture of NDIS, Lifetime Care, and My Aged Care clients. The majority of the caseload can be tailored to fit your skills and interests, however, a therapist who is confident in managing the needs of neurological or paediatric clients would be most desirable at this point in time.
A two week paid on-boarding/ training process will be provided, wherein you will spend time with the practice manager learning the business' software and systems, and attend joint appointments with our physiotherapists.
