BUSY BEES:
Description: We all need organisation of our sensory input to help us interpret the world, regulate our bodies and access our thinking brain. A great way for busy bodies and busy brains to access this is through “heavy work” which is a universal and powerful regulator. Which is what Busy Bees is all about! The group supports regulation through play, movement and social engagement.
While your child is participating in this group we offer an educational session with one of our OT’s on regulation.
Costings: $95 per session
Assessment: An initial assessment will need to be conducted prior to class commencement
Structure: Busy Bees participate in a semi structured play environment in our peadiatric gym; with safe opportunities for crashing, climbing, jumping, pulling and pushing with peers. The group is supported by multiple OT’s with sensory integration expertise.

NEUROACTIVE:
Description: NeuroACTIVE is designed for individuals seeking personalised exercise programs to achieve their unique goals and improve their day-to-day health and well-being. This small, semi-supervised group setting allows participants to engage in individually prescribed exercise routines, supported by the expertise of our highly skilled Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists. What sets NeuroACTIVE at Compass Allied Health apart is its commitment to providing an affordable and accessible solution for clients to complete their tailored programs under the supervision of trained and experienced staff. This group environment not only fosters a welcoming and inclusive community of people with similar lived experiences but also ensures that each participant receives professional guidance and attention to maximise the benefits of their exercise program in a safe and supportive setting. There is an emphasis on independence in health promoting behaviours, and clients are encouraged to participate in this program to empower better health decisions for goal progression.
Purpose: The purpose of this group is to promote independence and positive health behaviours in a fun, supportive group environment. This group will close the accessibility gap for person's with a disability to make use of modified and specific exercise equipment under the guidance of specialised health professionals
Costings: $65 per session
Assessment: to be completed pre commencement for appropriate outcome obtainment (and at 3 / 6 / 12 monthly) - $166.99 (AEP) or $193.99 (Physio)
Structure: Regular session availability (AM + PM) where clients access specialised and accessible exercise equipment to compliment individual sessions, manage disability specific secondary health concerns and socialise with people of similar lived experience. Sessions are 1hr in duration.

BALANCE BUILDERS:
Description: Are you ready to boost your balance, build strength, and take control of your movement? Our Balance Builders Exercise Class is designed for people of all abilities, especially those living with disability. These fun, energizing group sessions focus on practical exercises that build strength and reduce your risk of falling—so you can move through life with more confidence and independence.Led by experienced physiotherapists, the class is adapted to suit different mobility and strength levels and aimed at people who are a high falls risk wanting to stay active and remain independent in their community.
* If you require assistance, then to attend this group you will need a support worker or family member who will be there to help make sure you are safe when exercising"
Costings: $72.50 per session
Assessment: Initial Assessment to be completed prior to class commencement

MS GET AHEAD START:
Description: It is well-documented that up to 80% of individuals living with MS experience inactivity, which compounds not only the effects of MS but also the secondary consequences of immobility. One of the largest unmet needs among newly diagnosed MS patients is detailed information about how to exercise and effectively manage their condition. MS Get a Head Start aims to address this gap and support individuals in managing their MS from day one. Regardless of where you are on your MS journey, MS Get a Headstart will keep you up to date with the most appropriate and relevant evidence to help you make informed decisions.
Purpose: MS Get a Head Start aims to address the information gap that exists for people that have been newly diagnosed and support individuals in managing their MS from day one. MS Get a Headstart will also help people that have been managing their MS journey for some time realign with the most up to date management and exercise strategies
Costings: $72.50 per session
Assessment: to be completed pre commencement and post intervention for appropriate outcome obtainment. 1 x 1 hr pre Assessment + 1 x 1hr Post Assessment (2 x $166.99)
Structure: 2 x 1hr sessions per week for 6 weeks, Each session consists of exercise, education covering the core components of effective MS management, and reflective tasks for effective behaviour change.
