About Us:

Compass Allied Health is a mobile and in-clinic service based in the rural NSW town of Tamworth. Currently, the team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists and speech pathologists. All of whom have a diverse range of skills and interests, particularly in the areas of hand, musculoskeletal, neurological and paediatric therapy.

Compass prides itself on providing high quality, evidence-based practice to manage the varied needs of the community. Caseloads are very diverse, with a mixture of Private, NDIS, Lifetime Care, Workers Comp/CTP and My Aged Care clients.

Considerable thought has been put into establishing systems that streamline the necessary communication and admin compliance that comes with working across these various schemes. Our aim is to have clinician’s time and energy focused on improving their patient’s outcomes and never feeling overwhelmed by paperwork.

We strive for continual improvement, innovation, sustainable practice and clinical excellence. Therefore, we allocate time and resources to professional development, regular team meetings, in-service education, and social events. We are a locally run business that is growing  rapidly, and making a meaningful impact by improving our community's quality of life.

About the role:

As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be required to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities. Pathology domains covered by these services will include cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, cancers, kidney, respiratory / pulmonary, mental health, and any other conditions for which there is evidence that exercise can improve the client’s clinical status. You will be required to work independently and also be willing to liaise with the physiotherapist in delivering exercise programs for clients within a variety of demographics

Being a mobile service, you will be required to travel to clients homes and local business' around Tamworth and it's surrounds. Due to the extra time that is allocated for travel, this means that you would rarely be seeing more then seven patients on a regular work day. You will also have access to the new Compass HQ on Peel st, which has rehab facilities to run in clinic sessions. You have the freedom to inform admin as to the structure of your schedule and work hours, in alignment with the business’ goals.

The caseload will be a mixture of Private, NDIS, Lifetime Care, Workers Comp/CTP, My Aged Care and CDM. The majority of the caseload can be tailored to fit your skills and interests, however, an EP who is confident in working with paediatric and neurological clients is desirable.

A two-week paid on-boarding/training process will be provided, wherein you will spend time with the practice manager learning the business' software and systems, and attend joint appointments with the senior therapist as well as independently seeing a small caseload of clients in the second week.

• Relevant Tertiary degree (or equivalent qualification)

• ESSA Accreditation

• Current Blue Card (working with children and young people) or willingness to apply for one
